MEMORY GARDEN To Issue Limited-Edition Seven-Inch Single
September 2, 2003Stockholm, Sweden's MEMORY GARDEN, the band featuring former ABSKTRAKT ALGEBRA guitarist Simon Johansson, are completing work on two songs that will be released on a seven-inch vinyl single in the fall. The single will be issued through the band's own Heathendoom Music label, and the total pressing will be limited to 500 copies.
According to Johansson, "The first song is called 'Marion' which is an old demo song with a little female touch that we first recorded in 1992. We have updated it a little bit though to fit MEMORY GARDEN of today...:) The second one is a new, heavy son of a bitch which will blow your mind away...
"Mike Wead [MERCYFUL FATE] is once again helping us out and it all sounds amazing. We will do the lead guitars tomorrow and after that it's time for the mix.
"Exact release date will arrive as soon as we have it..."
As previously reported, MEMORY GARDEN are in talks with an as-yet-undisclosed label about inking a new record deal for the group. If all goes well, the band will enter the studio with Wead in the fall to begin recording a new CD for a tentative early 2004 release.
MEMORY GARDEN's forthcoming album, tentatively titled "Carnage Carnival", will be the group's first since their split with Metal Blade Records early last year. Among the tracks set to appear on the CD are "Beggars Anthem" (mp3),"Another Night" (mp3),"Endless Fears" (mp3),"Carnage Carnival" (mp3),"The Bitter End" (mp3) and "Dominion" (mp3).
